As a frequent traveler and a book lover, hoopla Digital has become an essential part of my routine. Whether I’m lounging at home, commuting to work, or taking a long flight, I rely on this app to provide a wealth of entertainment options. One particular instance was during a recent train journey where I decided to catch up on a couple of audiobooks. I simply opened the app, browsed through my favorites, and downloaded a novel I had been meaning to read. The ability to download content for offline use made my experience smooth and enjoyable, keeping me engaged throughout the trip.
The user interface of hoopla Digital is refreshingly simple and clean, making navigation a breeze. The homepage showcases trending titles, and categories are neatly organized, which helps in finding what I want quickly. I particularly appreciate the search functionality, which allows me to filter by genre, format, and availability. The app performs admirably, with minimal loading times and no glitches during my usage. After using it consistently for several months, I’ve developed a strong fondness for the app—it feels like my personal library at my fingertips. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and I can’t imagine my media consumption without it.
hoopla Digital operates on a unique model that allows users to borrow content through their local libraries. This means that as long as I have a valid library card from a participating library, I can access the app for free! I’ve found that this model not only saves me money but also encourages me to explore more content I might not have considered otherwise.
hoopla Digital consistently rolls out updates to enhance user experience and fix any bugs. The app is available on both iOS and Android, and I’ve noticed that the developers are attentive to user feedback, often implementing suggestions in new versions. In terms of support, I’ve reached out to their customer service with a minor issue regarding syncing, and I was pleasantly surprised by their prompt response. They provided clear instructions and resolved my issue quickly, which speaks volumes about their commitment to user satisfaction.
As an American user, I am always cautious about security and privacy when using apps. hoopla Digital is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide my library card information and a valid email address, which is standard for library services. I appreciate that hoopla does not require extensive personal data, reducing my concerns about privacy. Additionally, the app is free from intrusive ads and tracking behavior, allowing me to enjoy my content without being bombarded by unwanted advertisements. Overall, I feel secure using hoopla Digital, knowing that my information is handled responsibly.

I really love that I can check out audiobooks with my library card that aren't available on Libby. Suggested improvements: 1. The ability to preview an audiobook before I use one of my limited borrows. 2. Probably not doable, but the ability to send ebooks to Kindle because I don't like reading on a tablet or phone. 3. Make audiobooks respond to reverse and forward on a shower speaker as they do on other apps.

I love accessing library books instantly, without waiting in a queue! I wish there were a way to send ebooks to Kindle but I get why there isn't. My biggest complaint is that there's no way to screenshot and no good way to copy a highlight - I get that there's DRM, but any library ebook that goes on an ereader at least lets you share quotes easily.

it's a good app. My biggest issue is audio books. after it starts a handful of times in the car the book will restart. No matter how far into the book I am eventually it will restart from the very beginning. I don't know why. I've emailed customer support about it and they had me install and reinstall the app. I still have the same issue. it's an inconvenience when listening because I constantly need to remember where I am in the book so I can get back to a close location.

I love that my library connects to Hoopla and that I can download books, audiobooks, even movies on demand. 5 stars for that. Hoopla as an app is buggy. More than once, when I've prepared for a trip by downloading my book ahead of time, Hoopla says, NOT TODAY, and makes it impossible to read my book. Super frustrating. Sometimes it just starts an audiobook from the beginning, and loses the position I was at - not easy to get back to the same spot. 3 stars for the app itself.

What I like: I can get books that are on hold or not available thru other apps without the wait. Lots of titles I can get on Hoopla that I would have to pay for elsewhere. What I don't like: app is a bit buggy. Sometimes it kicks me back a couple chapters or even to the beginning and I have to sift thru to find where I left off. Also, book limit.is slim. In my case, only 4 per month. Not a deal breaker bit kind of a bummer.
