The Ring - Always Home app stands out in the crowded market of home security solutions with its intuitive design and powerful features. Here are some core highlights that make it a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their home security:
Using the Ring - Always Home app has transformed how I manage security at my house. One of my favorite scenarios is when I leave for a weekend trip. Before I go, I ensure everything is locked up and set my camera to monitor the entrances. During my trip, I can check in anytime, getting peace of mind that my home is safe. Just the other day, I was able to see that a neighbor was picking up my mail while I was away, and I could thank them directly through the two-way audio feature.
Another scenario involves my pets. I have a dog that tends to get anxious when left alone. With the app, I can check in on him and even talk to him through the camera, soothing him while I’m out. It’s a simple gesture that makes a significant difference for both of us.
The user interface of the Ring - Always Home app is sleek and intuitive. Upon opening, I’m greeted with a dashboard that displays all my devices, making it easy to navigate. The live video feed loads quickly, which is crucial in moments of urgency. I’ve found the feature workflow to be incredibly user-friendly; setting up notifications and customizing the camera settings took just a few taps.
Performance-wise, the app has been reliable. I haven’t experienced significant lag, even when accessing the video feed from a distance. The overall feeling I have after using the app is one of empowerment and security. Knowing I can monitor my home anywhere gives me a comfort that I didn’t have before.
When it comes to pricing, Ring offers a competitive structure that suits various budgets. The base app is free, but for enhanced features like video storage and advanced monitoring, you can opt for their subscription plan. I decided to go for the Protect plan, which is reasonably priced and has already proven its worth with the added functionalities. It feels good to invest in my home’s security without breaking the bank.
Updates are a critical part of any app's lifecycle, and Ring does not disappoint. Regular updates keep the app running smoothly and introduce new features based on user feedback. Their customer support is also commendable; I once had a query about my camera settings, and I received a detailed response within hours. Knowing that there’s a responsive support team behind the app adds to its reliability.
As a user in America, security and privacy are paramount when choosing an app like Ring - Always Home. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, where it maintains a solid reputation among users. Registration requires basic personal information, but the steps are straightforward and don't feel invasive.
One concern I had was regarding ads and tracking behavior. I appreciate that Ring does not bombard users with ads, which can be distracting and intrusive. However, it’s important to note that the app does collect some data to improve its services. Fortunately, you have options to manage your privacy settings, giving you control over what information you share.
In conclusion, the Ring - Always Home app is a fantastic tool for anyone seeking a reliable security solution. Its features are user-friendly, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The peace of mind it provides is invaluable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

go with a different company, for cameras, doorbells and security. This has been problems for the whole 5 years I've had it. never works when it's needed. always slow and behind. video quality? never heard of him. I had three packages taken off my porch did it video any of them? no it did not. but you can bet your bottom dollar that it will record EVERY car that drives by. nevermind all the features to specify what movement should be ignored, when it should record and notify, none of that works.

Overall this camera does what it says. We haven't had problems with it missing people directly on our porch. However there are so many missed events, the notifications are very delayed, and the camera quality is pretty poor when zooming in especially. It misses things that aren't that far away like a car pulling into the end of my driveway and doesnt notify us until a minute after the doorbell rings. Overall, good not great and we're looking for other options.

App is super glitchy. When you delete a video, instead of going to the previous video or the next video, it jumps to the very beginning of that day. If you delete another video, it jumps to the beginning of the PREVIOUS day. I then have to go through an entire day's worth of videos to get caught up to current again. Hate this app and only use it because I don't have a choice. Considering switching to a different video doorbell altogether just because of the horrible user interface.

For the most part RING has been a good security/camera system. The new updates made the RING app so much better. So when this new update came out, myself & lots others here in the reviews we're thinking it was going to be great. RING might as well built a time machine to go back to 2019. They removed so many features & Geo fencing isn't recognizing me anymore. I also upgraded my yearly subscription so I'm paying twice more for 24/7 recording, but the app did not update to this new 24/7 feature.

App worked great till a couple months ago. Now notifications are pointless if they even come through timely. The doorbell ring no longer works as a notification on the phone, only through the doorbell itself, there is no longer a video preview, the app does not open when you click on the notification, and on the rare occasion that it does open it brings you to a whole new live view rather than the footage it notified you about. The app has become pointless for notifications.
