Tried many different weather apps, kept coming back to this one, even for all the different regions whose weather I pay attention to. It is the weather we're looking at, which can not be managed or accurately forecasted very far out. I still like and use this format over other options.*updated 5/2/26* unreliable during storms. I have screenshots of several hours of 100% of heavy thunderstorms and only sprinkles happen. Or giant hail is headed towards us, we get ready and bupkus.
The weather is inaccurate!!! The video for the major snow storm January 24 Saturday says 4 to 5 inches and 5 to 10 inches for January 25, Sunday. The daily says 5 to 8 inches on January 24, Saturday and 1 to 3 inches on January 25, Sunday? Did they switch it by accident? The daily low temperature never matches the hourly report. I think it's time to find a more accurate weather app because the KY3 weather app isn't cutting it!!! P.S. Weather app starts over when phone times out.
When you have an app set to no notifications and no permissions but yet it still plays a notice over your Bluetooth devices it's incredibly annoying. especially when trying to speak at a conference with hearing aids connected. This app had no permissions in it or in the setting for it. The phone was on DND. Seriously unhappy with the KY3 weather app.
Lately I have NOT been getting alerts for weather I have chosen until I open the app. It used to alert no matter what, maybe it's my phone but I've done everything I can do allow the app to send alerts. The battery optimization is "unrestricted", it has data and location at all times, I just don't get it. Doesn't give me the peace of mind anymore.
Very intrusive especially now with a voice coming at you at all hours of the day and night. It is annoying when they alert because it's going to be a lovely evening. We live in a tornado zone, the ONLY alert I need is a tornado alert. There is no way to select for that only. Now the new and 'improved' app comes with a disembodied voice coming from the phone for no good reason. Buh bye.
